All students must comply with the dress code. It is the responsibility of parents to ensure that their students are dressed appropriately before leaving. Please review.

Goals of Dress Code

1. To create an atmosphere conducive to learning and to minimize disruptions attributable to personal appearance, conduct, grooming, hygiene, and attire.
2. To nurture the virtue of respect for authority and to prepare students to enter the workplace and worship space where standards regarding dress, conduct, and appearance are encountered.
3. To reinforce that the Christlike conduct and dignified grooming of students at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic School creates a favorable impression in the community.

School Uniforms

Children are growing in self-discipline when they wear their school uniform as prescribed every day

• Girls are required to wear the uniform polo shirt with khaki or navy-blue shorts, skorts or pants, solid white or black socks or stockings and solid white or solid black or combination of black and white (no other colors) sneakers. Skorts or shorts should be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee.
  • Mass Uniforms: Girls are to wear the Plaid Jumper with Peter Pan white shirt collar and black or navy bike shorts under the jumper on days that the children go to Mass and Solid black or white Dress Shoes - No sneakers can be worn at Mass.
• Boys are required to wear the uniform polo shirt with khaki shorts or pants, solid white or black socks and solid white, solid black or combination of black and white (no other colors) sneakers or shoes.
  • Mass Uniforms: Boys are to wear navy blue pants, button down white shirt with school tie and solid black socks and Dress shoes when attending Mass - No sneakers. No shorts.
•  All uniforms can be purchased from Educational Outfitters.
• Please label all your child’s clothes and personal items for easy identification.

No other colors are allowed for socks unless school notifies in advance. Shoes must be closed toed, no sandals. No colored shoe laces! All sweaters or sweatshirts (zippered only) plain solid blue, black, gray, tan or white and NO Logos. NO pullover sweatshirts - unless it has our school logo on it.

Violation of non compliance: Teachers and school staff can write the note

1. First note: Notice will be sent home with student by the classroom teacher. Notation will be on file with the school office.
2. Second note: A reminder notice will be sent home with the student by the classroom teacher. Notation will be on file with the school office.
3. Third note: If two reminders are sent home and still no compliance, you will be charged a fee of $5.00 with the third notice. Charges will be reflected in student’s account balance. Fees will start September 1st.
4. Funds collected will go towards purchase of items to replenish Our Lady’s Closet. Please refer to Handbook page11.
