Funeral Reception Ministry
The Funeral Reception Ministry is a beautiful ministry of compassion, hospitality, and service to families during a time of loss.
Upon request of the grieving family, our volunteers provide a welcoming reception following funeral services, offering family members and friends a comfortable place to gather, share a meal, remember their loved one, and find support in the presence of their parish community.
There are many ways to serve, and every contribution makes a difference. Volunteers are needed to provide prepared food, launder table linens, set up and prepare the reception area, serve food and refreshments, and assist with clean-up afterward. Whether you can help occasionally or would like to become a regular volunteer, your time and generosity are greatly appreciated.
This ministry is about much more than providing a meal. It is an opportunity to offer comfort, kindness, and Christian hospitality to families when they need it most. Even the smallest act of service can be a meaningful reminder that they are surrounded by a parish family that cares for them.
We would love to have your help with this beautiful and important ministry.
