Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion serve our parish community by assisting the priest and deacon with the distribution of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ during Mass.

This sacred ministry is much more than simply assisting with the distribution of Holy Communion. It is a call to serve Christ and His Church with reverence, humility, and a deep love for the Eucharist. Extraordinary Ministers have the privilege of presenting the Body and Blood of Christ to their brothers and sisters in faith and helping our parish community participate more fully in the celebration of the Holy Mass.

This ministry is open to fully participating Catholics who are in good standing with the Church, have a profound respect and devotion for the Eucharist, and strive to live their Catholic faith through prayer, service, and their daily lives.

Those who feel called to this ministry will receive the appropriate training and guidance needed to serve confidently and reverently at Mass.

Serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is a beautiful opportunity to deepen your own Eucharistic faith while serving Christ and the people of Our Lady of the Lake.
